Mini Tree Ornament Books Featuring Santa

I am joining Sundays With Santa hosted by Maureen at Yuletide Greetings.

You may have seen these little books amid the many ornaments offered in stores.
These mini books are each about 3 to 3 ½ inches tall and have a gilt cord for hanging on the tree. Each has text with a story and illustrations to delight. The quality of binding and printing varies from quite good to poor. Many are replicas of antique and vintage Christmas books. A few are original text and pictures. Most were printed in Taiwan or Hong Kong

  1. I just love those mini-books. I have several and a few years ago my daughter tied them onto a wreath for me. It is one of my favorite decorations. Thanks for sharing your collection.

  2. These are such delightful miniature books. I have never seen them before. A wonderful collection that you have. Thanks for sharing them on "Sundays with Santa."
    Have a wonderful week!

  3. Wow!! These books are so cool!! I love them, too! Thank you for sharing them with us!!
    Take care.

  4. What a nice collection of mini Christmas books! Love these! I have one. Thanks for sharing your collection.

  5. Me again!! Now I am really amazed that I have not seen any !! These are so sweet!! I love the older Kurt Adler ornaments, don't you???

  6. The first time I've come across someone who also has these miniature book ornaments that has posted and blogged about them. I've been collecting them for decades. As you noted, most of them were published/created in the 80s. I now have so many that I've had to determine that the nicest ones (like the recipe books by Hershey) that look more like leather-bound books are about all the average 6-foot tree can display effectively but I've managed to amass more than 300 and along the way and have a box of multiples that I should really plan to sell somehow. There are two more books in the Hershey's series. Both have brown covers. One obviously belongs to the series as the imprint is the same. The other is a variation. Did you ever see the two recipe books put out by Watkins?
